Being able to explore unimpeded is paramount because Outlaws does such a great job teasing you with secrets to find or opportunities to pursue in an extremely organic way as you move through its four main worlds. That effectively gives you three weapons to swap between, even if they’re slot all coming out of the same barrel. The framerate gets extremely rocky on a fairly regular basis and crashing is a common occurrence, especially if you aren’t the host of a multiplayer world. Beyond that, my playgroup saw instances of items mysteriously disappearing from chests and sometimes I found myself staring at the inside of my avatar’s face, unable to rectify the issue until a crash inevitably came a short while later.
PowerWash Simulator meets Dynopunk, Wyrmhall is a fun, cosy game about deep-cleaning magical objects. And while everyone I met was incredibly beautiful, none of them felt deep, dynamic, or unique–my own Zois included. Civilization 7 was supposed to be a revolution, with a new quality and plenty of new features. Instead, it gives the impression of a game released in early access with many problems. Hyper Light Breaker, a multiplayer open-world rogue-lite, launched in Early Access to mixed player reviews.
Kings and Queens involves students creating mini-tests ahead of time, then trying to stump one another as they sit in the front of the classroom on a “throne”. Pretty much the only thing about it that isn’t very British is the weather. With no weather system or day/night cycle, it’s nothing but sunshine in Atomfall’s quarantine zone.
