Bluepoint Games has released Demon’s Souls update 1.005, and this should be for the game’s PS5 Pro enhancement patch, which other PS5 games have been getting as well. Outside of that, don’t taysentoto expect any other new content, as FromSoftware has concluded the game’s run even back in 2009 on the PS3. It’s been long awaited for, for FromSoftware fans but finally we get a confirmation on what Bluepoint has been working on. A Demon’s Souls Remake was announced during the Playstation 5 event today. The developer who brought you the Shadow of the Colossus remake along with Japan Studios, has announced that the souls-title will be coming to PS5.

The actual likelihood of ever seeing a Demon’s Souls 2, however, is more complicated. Another one of the standard swords in the game, but who ever said that standard was bad? The Long Sword can be bought, found in the Tunnel City, or can be obtained from the start by choosing the knight class. This common weapon is the faithful weapon of any knight and can be used for almost any build. It can become the Morion Blade if a player feels like it as well.

Demon’s Souls Remake Released Date?

For those with that craving though, the Lava Bow in Demon’s Souls is definitely worth their time and attention. Players will need to give Blacksmith Ed an item called the Hard Demon Soul, and, from that, he can craft this useful bow. Playing offline you will face an NPC version of the boss which isn’t particularly difficult. The only attack you have to watch out for is when he summons 5 yellow orbs which are homing shots so keep your distance for easier dodging of this move.

If a player doesn’t want to farm for it, the sword can always be bought from the Dregling Merchant. It will cost players a hefty 6,000 souls which is a good amount for the early game, but well worth the investment for such a good strength weapon. The Claymore is one of the highest Strength weapons in the game. Players dedicated to a Strength build should wield this weapon and also consider adding the Crushing upgrade. One change that will affect players’ encumbrance — aka how much stuff their character can carry — is how much healing grass they can hold.

It’s hard to describe, but the “You Died” screens are missing “something” and the overall UI seems too clean and lacking the “grunge” look we have come to expect from souls games. Honetly, this question gets asked a lot in many RPGs but it doesn’t matter. Starting class only matters at the beginning of the game, since you can level up your stats however you want. Royalty is  a good starting class for new players since it has strong Magic Stats from the beginning and magic is known to be strong in Demon’s Souls.

Bolster Your Character’s Fire Defense

The lighting is smoothed over, yes, and so is a lot of the strangeness. The world of Boletaria, where Demon’s Souls takes place, is an unnatural place, with monsters, people, and settings that just look a bit wrong. Take, for instance, the Vanguard, the first boss in the game, the one who will most likely give you your first in-game death. In the original, it has overgrown teeth that overlap each other and stretch over its cheeks, like a cage for its tiny tongue. Its eyes are three large shining lights, nearly dominating its face. This of course does not include the multiplayer aspects, which should add at least another 100 or so hours of gameplay in most cases, and likely more if you are a Souls fan who likes to co op and pvp a lot.

The worst part about this is that Demon’s Souls has PvP as well, meaning that people who pre-ordered the game or paid for the DLC would have an unfair advantage over other players as well, which is just ridiculous.

I could listen to them all day, and players will get a huge dose of nostalgia as they are summoned into another player’s world to the ever familiar chime. No complaints here, but you will note this means some sounds are different from what you remember. The music of Demon’s Souls has always been the best of any Souls game to date, and this still holds true in the Remake. You simply won’t find better boss music anywhere in the gaming industry than Demon’s Souls.

You can dispose of them first but you should know that defeating the Tower Knight without killing the archers will grant you the One Shall Fall Trophy as well. Even if you’re familiar with Dark Souls and the games that came after it, you might have missed the bus on Demon’s Souls and find yourself wondering what it’s all about–and why you should care. While Dark Souls is a spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, it doesn’t quite fill the gap that a direct connection to the original could. However, there’s one very clear and accessible starting point for a Demon’s Souls 2, and that’s through the sixth Archstone to The Northern Limit. After completing the first section of [1-1] Boletarian Palace and defeating the Phalanx boss, you’ll be able to explore any of the four additional archstones.

Sold by a vendor in 1-2, the Claymore is categorized as a Large Sword and can be purchased very close to the start of your adventures through different levels. However, its strength requirement of 20 means that builds that don’t emphasize the Strength stat will probably miss out on it. Stylistically, the Ritual Blade resembles a powerful weapon from Dark Souls 3 used by the boss Yhorm the Giant.
